Shantell Martin

Artist in Residence

Shantell Martin is an Artist in Residence at Cue Ball.

As part of Cue Ball’s human capital philosophy to promote multi-disciplinary thinking towards forward-thinking solutions, Shantell brings creativity, vision, and a unique world view to our perspectives.


Shantell grew up in London and started developing her artistic style from an early age. She began her artistic career with a BA in graphic design from Camberwell College of Art and Design, later graduating with 1st class honors from Central Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design.

Following graduation, Shantell further developed her style when she began to experiment with performance art while living in Japan.  After moving to New York City her artistic career was solidified with numerous exhibitions, features, collaborations and solo projects including her first museum exhibition ARE YOU YOU.  In 2014 she became the Artist in Residence at the MIT media lab and later, Autodesk.

She is an adjunct professor at NYU’s ITP (Tisch School of the Arts) and a fellow at the Brown Institute for Media Innovation at Columbia University
